Virtua Health in Marlton, New Jersey seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide examination, evaluation, and intervention to determine prognosis and update the plan of care.

The role collaborates with a care team, maintains documentation, and contributes to program efficiency. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, NJ licensure, CPR, and a valid driver’s license for certain home care assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program.
• Current licensure in New Jersey and CPR certification.
• For home care/early intervention, valid driver's license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Consult with medical and rehab team to deliver optimum patient care and efficient operations.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations and adjust plans of care as needed.
• Maintain timely documentation and patient records per regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate with aides and support staff to optimize service delivery.
• Educate patients and families with culturally appropriate communications and materials.

Provides occupational therapy examination and evaluation to determine prognosis, provide intervention, and update plan of care. Assists manager/supervisor with clinical and operational issues. Works with manager to improve processes and utilization of rehab services.

Position Responsibilities

• Consults with medical, ancillary professionals and other team members/supervisors to provide optimum quality patient care and effective operations.
• Demonstrates comprehensive evaluation skills and interventions. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and modification of plan of care as appropriate.
• Maintains and completes evaluations, patient records, reports and all written documentation effectively and in a timely manner, in accordance with regulatory and department guidelines.
• Effectively utilizes aides and other support staff as appropriate.
• Effectively communicates with patient and/or family/significant other in providing education and literature in accordance with the patient’s age, physical condition and cultural needs.

Required Education

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the AOTA.

Training/Certifications/Licensure

Current licensure in the State of New Jersey. CPR certification. For home care and early intervention staff, a valid driver’s license, current automobile registration and proof of insurance.

Salary:

$70.00 - $154.00 Hourly
