Job summary

AdventHealth in Calhoun, GA seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist for a full-time Home Health role. You will plan and supervise home health activities, communicate with patients and families, and maintain accurate clinical records in a supportive, interdisciplinary team environment.

This position requires a Master’s in Occupational Therapy, OT licensure, and BLS. Day shift, on-site at 104 Hospital Ct, Calhoun, GA, 30701. Strong documentation and community resource knowledge are essential.

Job Description

• Schedule: Full Time - Days
• Coverage Area: Gordon County
• Sees and plans home health aide activities in the absence of other healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills with all team members, patients, and families.
• Maintains clinical record information in accordance with established standards and within established time frames.
• Participates in orientation, in‑service, and staff meetings as scheduled, and develops professional and clinical skills through attendance at staff development meetings, educational activities, and professional affiliations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A working knowledge of community resources and an ability to refer patients and families appropriately.
• Knowledge of Home Care Regulations and Third‑Party Reimbursement as it impacts care delivery.
• Entry level competency of occupational therapy practice, theory, principle, and applications as defined in competency department policies.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.

Work Experience

• 1+ clinical experience as an occupational therapist in an acute or rehab setting [Required]
• 1+ of clinical experience as an occupational therapist in home health [Preferred]
