CVHCare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our California home health team. The OT will focus on daily activities, self-care, and mobility, training patients and caregivers to improve independence and quality of life.

Flexible scheduling and on-site visits across the Bay Area foster a compassionate care culture. The role supports community reintegration and leisure activities, with opportunities for growth and training during paid onboarding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Occupational Therapy experience desired.
• Open to entry level or candidates with no prior home health experience

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services focusing on daily living activities like self-care, dressing, toileting and bathing.

Title:Occupational Therapist
Schedule: 32 hr (24 RVEs p/week - BENEFITED!), Part Time-24 hr (18 RVEs p/week) or Per Diem (6 visits p/week)

Location: Area #1 covering the cities of Fremont, Castro Valley, Ashland, Cherryland, Hayward, Newark, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Union Cityand secondary Area #2 covering the cities ofOakland, Berkeley, Alameda, Albany, Emeryville, Piedmont
Paid Training: Must be available for one week (M-F 9am-5:30pm) training in San Ramon

Position Summary:Occupational therapy focuses on specific daily activities and movements. Utilizing the common items at home or special adaptive equipment, the OT will train the patient or caregiver in activities such as self-grooming, dressing, toileting and bathing. There are also advanced activities such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry and shopping that the OT is particularly geared toward. In addition to the above, the occupational therapy team focuses on community re-integration, as well as introducing patients to leisure-type activities that provide a holistic approach to treating health and wellness.
