Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation at Onion Creek, TX seeks an Occupational Therapist (CHT) to manage hand therapy cases in an outpatient clinic. Candidates should have expertise in hand therapy with 1-2 years of experience if not a CHT, and be prepared to treat conservative and postoperative conditions.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, planning and adapting treatment plans, and educating patients, families, students and staff.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified Hand Therapist certification required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.

Seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), to treat conservative and post-operative conditions in a dynamic clinic setting. Experience in hand/splinting for 1-2 years required if not a CHT.

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery
