Job summary

TheraDynamics is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive OT evaluations and individualized treatment plans in an assisted living setting.

You will address self-care, cognition, home safety, and discharge planning while collaborating with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work to ensure coordinated care. New graduates are welcome, with options for mentorship and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current or eligible for New York State OT license.
• NBCOT certification (or eligible).
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Address ADLs, cognitive retraining, upper extremity rehab, and safe discharge planning.

Occupational therapy in the assisted living setting is about one thing: helping people get back to the activities that define their lives. At TheraDynamics, our OTs in ALF settings work with patients recovering from strokes, hip fractures, cardiac events, and progressive neurological conditions. You will design creative, functional interventions that address ADLs, cognitive retraining, upper extremity rehabilitation, and safe discharge planning. Your work directly determines whether a patient goes home or stays in a facility — and we give you the tools, time, and support to make that happen.

What You Will Do

You will conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence, and collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work to ensure coordinated patient care. You will address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training. Your clinical reasoning will be valued, and your productivity expectations will be realistic.
