Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an acute rehabilitation unit in Benton, AR. Full-time shift 08:00–16:30, Monday–Friday, with weekends/holidays as needed. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates.

Responsibilities include evaluating daily living tasks, delivering hands-on therapy, tracking progress, and coordinating discharge planning. Requires OT degree, state licensure, and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• State Licensure for Occupational Therapy required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' ability to safely perform daily tasks and create personalized care plans.
• Deliver hands-on treatment using therapeutic techniques and adaptive modalities.
• Track and document patient progress with outcomes and observations.
• Continuously reassess and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with colleagues as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on functional deficits and home strategies.
• Support discharge planning by recommending adaptive equipment and community resources.
• Provide supervision and delegation to OT assistants and techs to ensure quality care.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy; Required
• State Licensure for Occupational Therapy
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
