Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Occupational Therapist to support Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, AZ. You will provide OT services to help patients develop, recover, and maintain daily skills, assess abilities, and design and implement care plans while documenting progress.

You will supervise assistants, educate patients and families, plan discharges, and ensure care aligns with licensing standards. Competitive benefits and career growth available.

Qualifications

• Current state OT license is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover, and maintain occupational skills.
• Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills.
• Design appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
• Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed.
• Seek consultation as necessary.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment settings.
• Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervise and delegate the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to licensing laws and standards.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state occupational therapist license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

• ACLS and PALS are required within six (6) months of hire.
