Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist for our West Orange, NJ inpatient rehab hospital. The OT will evaluate, develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans to restore function and independence for patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other conditions.

Responsibilities include discharge planning, patient and family education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Certified BLS.

Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)Location: West Orange,NJSchedule: Monday - Friday 7:15 am - 3:15 pm (8a-4p on weekend/holiday)

Compensation: $84,500 - $115,928.49 a Year(Based on Experience)

Responsibilities

As a OT you will evaluate all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
