Position: Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: 1199 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052

Schedule: Full‑Time, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday (2 weekend days/month plus some holidays)

Compensation: $86,000 - $115,744.67 (Based on experience)

Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000

Work an additional weekend day shift, earn an extra $500

Responsibilities

As a PT you will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and physician direction. You will be responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline‑specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities. You will serve as an educator of patients, families, students, co‑workers and yourself, performing other professional duties associated with the care of the patient and the development of discipline‑specific therapy services.

• Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs
• Provide ongoing evaluation of patient status and goals, modifying treatment program for timely progression
• Develop comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes and return to community activities
• Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services and community resources, attending appropriate clinical meetings to facilitate coordination
• Provide patient education, including development of progressive home programs with instruction to the patient, family and caregivers to facilitate a safe and effective discharge
• Prepare for patient discharge, ordering necessary equipment and recommending therapeutic services to ensure continuum of care
• Evaluate patient in actual or simulated home, school, work or community environments as necessary to facilitate a return to community activities, making recommendations for adaptations or training
• Identify and manage various levels of care necessary to ensure care plan delivery, delegating and supervising the utilization of PTAs and support personnel to maximize outcomes and service utilization
