Job summary

Med Career Solutions in Fort Pierce, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, days schedule with rotating weekends. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and coordinate with physicians and the care team to support goal achievement throughout home health and the continuum of care.

The role requires an OT license, a bachelor’s degree, and at least 1 year of acute care, inpatient, or rehab experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OT experience in Acute Care, Inpatient or Rehab is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Active Occupational Therapy (OT) License is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy care and assess patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Lead or direct the majority of patient’s therapy to support home health and continuum of care.

What You’ll Do:

The Occupational Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Occupational Therapist completes patient assessments, and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Occupational Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patient’s physical therapy to support patients throughout home health and the continuum of care.

Qualifications Required:

• MUST have at least 1 year of experience working as an OT in Acute Care, Inpatient or Rehab.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Occupational Therapy (OT) License
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Note: Onsite interviews are Required

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay rate range: Min $32.62/hr. – Max $48.93/hr. (Based on years of experience)
