Job summary

The Healthcare Resort of Topeka, part of Ensign Services, invites you to join our in-house therapy team as an Occupational Therapist. This role supports cognitive and physical rehabilitation, with opportunities for clinical development, mentorship, and leadership training within a stable facility setting.

We welcome OTs at all experience levels who are licensed and ready to contribute to patient-centered care, family counseling, and program development in a long-term care and post-acute rehab

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Must hold current and active State license/registration where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL disorders and develop care plans.
• Provide rehabilitative treatment and administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments with OT Assistants as needed.
• Offer consultation and counseling to patients, families, and other providers.
• Maintain clinical records per regulatory and practice requirements.

These values are the core of who we are as an organization and shared among all affiliated facilities Duties: Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to: ADL retraining; therapeutic activities; therapeutic exercises; modalities; use of supportive and assistive devices; etc. Under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Assesses patient’s progress and communicates with Occupational Therapist Assistants to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Provide rehabilitative treatment for patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, adjusting treatments based on patient progress and outcomes.
• Offer consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders.

Qualifications:

• Occupational Therapy license is required.
• This position is open to OTs at all experience levels.
