Job summary

Coordinated Therapy Solutions is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, helping them reach maximum performance and use learned skills in the community.

The role involves designing individualized therapy, administering programs to increase function, and guiding families on care techniques, with emphasis on safety, energy conservation, and transfer techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate with OT degree (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate).
• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer and write evaluations per departmental standards.
• Maintain timely, accurate patient records and reports.
• Direct support staff to achieve patient goals.
• Administer treatment programs to increase functioning.
• Design therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.
• Provide prevention therapy and educate patients/families.
• Develop home programs and teach patients/families to implement.
• Participate in patient support groups with team members.

Job Summary:

The Registered Occupational Therapist will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, and help patients reach maximum performance level and to use skills learned to the fullest to function in the community within the limits of their capabilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Administers and writes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.

• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports.

• Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.

• Administers treatment programs to increase patients\' levels of functioning.

• Designs individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.

• Provides prevention therapy to maintain functional skills; instructs patients in energy conservation, joint protection, safety techniques for sensory loss, and transferring and visual field deficits; instructs patients\' families in personal care for patients, especially proper transfer techniques to avoid back strain.

• Develops home programs and instructs patients or families in carrying out such programs.

• Participates in patient support groups with other team members.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy

• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association required.

• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards

Physical Requirements:

• Duties require extensive standing and walking.

• Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.

• Duties require frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
