Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare in Tampa, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide intermittent in-home OT under physician orders and supervision.

You will assess, plan, and implement therapy to help patients regain independence, with ongoing training and field support.

Requirements include OT degree, Florida licensure, eligibility for the national exam, and at least one year in acute care; home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the AMA/AOTA or equivalent.
• Eligible for the NBCOT National Certification examination.
• Currently licensed by the state Board in which practicing.
• Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.
• Two years of Home Health experience preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Return the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient’s capability.
• Periodically participate with all other home care personnel in patient’s care planning.
• Provide prescribed occupational therapy and all skilled procedures.
• Initial assessment, plan of care development and reassessment every 30 days.
• Consult with physicians regarding changes in treatment.

• Currently licensed by the Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners in the state in which practicing, unless licensure does not apply
