Salinas Valley Post-Acute is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Salinas, CA, offering Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN roles with competitive hourly pay and incentives. The OT will lead evaluations, develop treatment plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to enhance residents’ independence.

Applicants must hold a current California OT license and have a passion for geriatric care; new graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current, valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and a passion for the geriatric population.
• SNF experience preferred; new graduates welcomed with strong clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Provide therapeutic interventions targeting ADLs, functional mobility, strength, cognition, and safety.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications for safe home transitions.
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, Nursing, and Medical teams for coordinated recovery.
• Maintain timely documentation of resident progress per state standards.
• Educate residents and families through therapy programs and caregiver training.
