Job summary

Easterseals Joliet Region is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in Joliet, IL. The role features no evenings or weekends, with part-time summer hours and full salary pay, offering flexible scheduling, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities include evaluating clients, setting goals, coaching families, and training on adaptive equipment. Eligible for PSLF and a range of benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients referred for occupational therapy services using established evaluation procedures and standardized assessments.
• Develop treatment goals, plans, and objectives based upon the initial evaluation and program requirements, and update plans per Agency policy.
• Develop and provide coaching for family members and/or clients to incorporate new skills and/or techniques into normal routines and activities at home.
• Instruct family members and students on the proper and safe use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
