Job summary

MB Healthcare in Paterson, NJ is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for our Rehabilitation/Therapy department. This full-time role entails evaluating and treating residents, documenting progress, and supporting ADL improvement within a collaborative care team.

The OT will help residents perform exercises, use devices, and plan interventions to enhance mobility and independence, with a focus on high-quality resident care. Training and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT Program.
• Current NJ State OT License.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and measure Residents' function, ADLs, self-care, and mobility.
• Observe Residents and write evaluations, progress reports, and discharges.
• Assist Residents in exercises and use of equipment.
• Apply diverse treatment techniques to improve function.
• Educate Residents on proper exercise to strengthen muscles.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with the team toward shared goals.

• OT will assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• OT will treat Residents with a variety of techniques.

• OT will Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.

Requirements
