Job summary

Lawrence Rehabilitation Hospital in New Jersey seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist for full-time opportunities. Daily pay available and an engaging care team focus on returning patients to independence.

You will assess patients, develop individualized plans, educate on adaptive equipment, and collaborate with families and clinicians to support safe discharge and ongoing recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current NJ licensure or eligibility to practice as Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Strong ability to assess, analyze, and use clinical data for decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computer tools including MS Office/Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify challenges in ADLs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence and safety.
• Re-educate patients to perform daily living activities.
• Educate patients on adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans based on findings and goals.
• Collaborate with families, physicians, nurses, and the care team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and discharge planning.

Responsibilities for Occupational Therapist:

• Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify challenges in performing activities of daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve independence, safety, and quality of life.
• Help patients relearn or adapt skills needed for daily living, including self-care, work, school, or leisure activities.
• Recommend, train, and educate patients on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with families, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care.

Qualifications for Occupational Therapist:

• A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of NJ.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Strong ability to assess, analyze, and utilize clinical data to support effective decision-making and performance improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
