Job summary

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a talented Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team and provide direct patient care to assess, plan, and implement therapy for our residents.

You will develop individualized treatment programs, document progress, supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and residents' rights guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration in state of practice.
• Overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Excellent documentation skills including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge documentation.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Demonstrates exceptional patient service and professionalism.
• HIPAA confidentiality and residents' rights compliance.
• Shift: Full Time and PRN.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients to determine rehabilitation needs and potential for recovery.
• Develop and administer treatment programs with goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Set realistic, achievable goals; document and track patient progress.
• Educate patients and families on therapy methods and expected outcomes.
• Coordinate with the care team to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.

Occupational Therapist

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healingislooking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Shift Needs: Full Time and PRN
