Job summary

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. The role includes direct patient care, assessment, and creating individualized treatment plans for rehabilitation.

You will set achievable goals, document patient progress, and educate patients and families on therapy methods while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Strong documentation and confidentiality practices are required.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist program or university.
• Must hold a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Oversees and supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Excellent documentation skills and written records.
• Performs evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documents.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Demonstrates exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Punctuality and professionalism in attendance and behavior.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Complies with confidentiality, HIPAA, and residents' rights.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer treatment programs with goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Set realistic, achievable goals; document and record patient conditions.
• Educate patients and families using appropriate therapy methods.
• Evaluate patients and monitor progress to guide treatment decisions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and assign duties.
• Maintain professional and compliant documentation throughout care.

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healingislooking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
