Job summary

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join its patient-centered rehabilitation team. You will assess referred patients and develop targeted treatment plans designed to maximize function and independence within a geriatric setting.

You will document patient progress, coordinate with physicians and other disciplines, supervise OT Assistants, and educate patients and families while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services and perform direct patient care to evaluate medical condition and functional capacity.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals aligned to patient capacity under physician direction.
• Document and record patient status and progress, maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Educate patients and families in therapy approaches and post-discharge plans.

Occupational Therapist

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healingislooking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.
