Therapy & Beyond in McKinney, TX seeks an Occupational Therapist to implement clinic-based therapy, working with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to ensure high-quality care.

The role is compensated by session and focuses on pediatric and adolescent clients on-site at the McKinney Clinic, with emphasis on goals, data collection, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist.
• Two years of direct service work in a treatment setting preferred.
• Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments and identify patient needs and goals.
• Document, revise, and complete a Plan of Care and progress notes.
• Assess ROM, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment needs, mobility and safety.
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data.
• Evaluate treatment efficiency and maintain professional behavior.
• Demonstrate crisis intervention competence.
• Train parents and staff effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

TheOccupational Therapistposition is responsible for the direct implementation of therapy services within a clinic-based environment. This position will work closely with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to ensure that each patient in the organization receives quality therapeutic care!

This role will be compensated by session, while supporting pediatric and adolescent clients on-site at ourMcKinneyClinic.

• Perform clinical assessment; identifypatient needs and target developmental goals
• Document, prepare/revises, and complete a Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical record documentation on an ongoing basis
• Assess and facilitatethe patient’s ROM, strength, coordination, need for and use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to the patient’s ADL performance needs
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data.
• Evaluate the efficiencyof the treatment
• Demonstration of professional behavior
• Competence with Crisis Intervention
• Facilitateeffective training with parents and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
