Job summary

Highland Care Center in Holladay, Utah is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. You will assess residents’ physical and cognitive abilities, create personalized rehabilitation plans, and empower them to reach their maximum potential and independence.

You will collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to implement ADL training, mobility exercises, cognitive stimulation, and environmental adaptations that promote safety and well‑being for our residents.

Qualifications

• OT licensed professional with active credentials.
• Experience in rehab planning and ADL training.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and sensory function.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents' needs and goals.
• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions, including activities of daily living (ADLs) training.
• Provide mobility and balance exercises for residents.
• Implement cognitive stimulation and memory strategies.
• Adapt environments to promote accessibility and independence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document residents' progress and treatment plans accurately.
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to care plans.
• Maintain current knowledge of occupational therapy best practices and industry developments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and sensory function
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents' needs and goals
• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions, including but not limited to:
• Activities of daily living (ADLs) training
• Mobility and balance exercises
• Cognitive stimulation and memory enhancement strategies
• Adaptation and modification of environments to promote accessibility and independence
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes
• Document residents' progress and treatment plans accurately and efficiently
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of care plans
• Maintain current knowledge of occupational therapy best practices and industry developments
