Position Overview

We are seeking adedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT)to provide patient-centered, supportive care inhospice environments. In this role, you’ll focus on enhancing comfort, preserving independence, and improving quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses. As a member of the Vital Medical Staffing team, you’ll provide critical support to patients and their families during life’s most important moments—all while benefiting from flexible scheduling and a supportive team.This position pays $25.00 per visit.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs with an emphasis on comfort, mobility, and dignity
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with hospice goals
• Assist patients with maintaining or regaining independence in daily tasks
• Provide caregiver training and support for safe patient handling and ADLs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospice teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Accurately document care in compliance with facility and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Active Mississippi Occupational Therapist License
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• At least 1 year of OT experience required (hospice or palliative care preferred)
• Compassionate communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Ability to adapt to the unique needs of end-of-life care
