Job summary

United Future in Ohio is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a community-focused rehabilitation center. The role combines inpatient and pediatric settings with a 50/50 split, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hours per week.

You will evaluate patients, develop care plans, supervise OT staff, ensure safety and quality, and contribute to daily operations. A $20,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year contract is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• Current, active Ohio Occupational Therapist license (required)
• Current CPR certification (required)
• Strong working knowledge of OT practices across inpatient and pediatric settings
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills
• Commitment to patient safety and professional standards of practice
• Ability to work variable days and hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy to help patients achieve maximum functional outcomes
• Provide care across the full age spectrum — neonate through geriatric
• Treat orthopedic and neurological conditions in both inpatient and pediatric settings (50/50 split)
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students
• Ensure ongoing compliance with standards of practice, payer regulations, and facility policies
• Apply critical thinking to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Maintain professional, courteous communication and customer service
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members and departments
• Support daily operations and data collection within the medical fitness center
