Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team for a full-time day shift. The role supports patients in a 90-bed rehabilitation setting, focusing on restoring function after strokes, injuries, and complex conditions.

Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with opportunities to grow professionally. You will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs, collaborate with the care team, and document care per regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Accepting new Grads.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help patients regain wellbeing through exercises and use of prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and team members; instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis is90-bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

How You'll Contribute:

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
