Job summary

Kindred Hospital Tarrant Arlington is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a PRN basis in Arlington, TX. The role focuses on developing personalized treatment plans to support recovery, using exercises and prosthetic/orthotic devices as needed.

Applicants should hold a degree from an accredited OT program, possess a current and unrestricted OT license in Texas, and maintain CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops a specialized treatment plan to help regain well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Communicates patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Documents patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Maintains equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handles job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned

How you'll contribute

A Occupational Therapist (OT)who excels in this role:

• Develops a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery
• Communicates patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Documents patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Maintains equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handles job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
