Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for Kindred Hospital FWSW in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on delivering therapy to help patients develop, recover and maintain occupational skills.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, Texas licensure and BLS within 30 days of hire. A full-time schedule with a $7,500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
• Texas State Licensure for Occupational Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy services to patients to develop, recover and maintain occupational skills.
• Has critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision, and can work in a stressful environment.
• Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills and designs appropriate plans of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress, monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed, and seeks consultation as necessary.
• Educates patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting, and provides information regarding adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervises and delegates care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
