An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services to residents with neurocognitive disorders. This role involves developing tailored treatment plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and enhancing residents' quality of life through effective interventions. This position provides Occupational Therapy services to residents diagnosed with neuro-cognitive disorders who are medically fragile and cannot be served by a community nursing home. This includes individuals with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, Alzheimer's, other Dementias, Huntington's, and Parkinson's, many with significant medical issues and developmental disabilities with physical anomalies affecting range of motion and motor skills. Responsibilities include completing assessments and annual updates, identifying needs in positioning, recommending or designing adaptations to support residents' functionality in self-help skills and activities of daily living, maintaining mobility, and participating in the dysphagia assessment team. The Occupational Therapist (OT) develops treatment plans to improve musculoskeletal and neuromuscular functioning, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to develop Person-Centered Habilitation or Care plans tailored to each resident, and provides staff training on adaptive equipment, safe transfers, and life skills to enhance residents' quality of life.

Management Preferences:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions with residents having neurocognitive diagnoses, developmental and intellectual delays, and limited verbal skills.

License to practice as an Occupational Therapist in North Carolina is required.
