Job summary

Silver Lake Hospital in Newark, NJ is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to assess and treat daily living activities for long-term acute care patients. The OT will supervise assistants and students, with direct patient care for adults 18+ on 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Qualified candidates hold a OT degree (Bachelor's or higher), NJ license, BLS, and EMR/MS Office proficiency; 2+ years LTACH hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's degree preferred.
• Active NJ state OT license.
• BLS certification on hire.
• 2+ years OT hospital experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat functional limitations in activities of daily living.
• Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and OT Student interns.
• Provide direct patient care for adults 18+ in a LTACH setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
