Job summary

Regency Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess needs, develop and deliver therapy programs, and coordinate with the care team to meet residents' rehabilitation goals.

The OT will educate residents and caregivers to promote independence and safety, supervise staff, and ensure timely documentation to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OT program accredited by AOTA/ACOTE standards.
• Valid OT license to practice in state(s) of licensure.
• NBCOT certification (initial registration) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OT Assistants and staff; document evaluations and plans of care.
• Perform screens, evaluations, progress notes, and reevaluations in a timely manner.
• Establish long- and short-term goals with residents, physicians, and care teams.
• Ensure MD orders for evaluations, treatments, and discharges.
• Deliver rehab services per resident care plans and participate in care/discharge planning.
• Travel to facilities within a reasonable distance as needed.
