Job summary

Gateway Rehab in Florence, KY is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient rehab team. The OT will provide and direct therapy services, assess and treat patients, and plan programs under physician orders, collaborating with the care team to maximize patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates will have a BOT degree in OT (BS) or higher, NBCOT registration, KY licensure, and a current BLS certification. Prior experience preferred in a fast-paced rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy required where accepted.
• Master's Degree preferred or required.
• NBCOT registration and KY state licensure required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with computer software used in therapy documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct Occupational Therapy Services to patients including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation and communication.
• Functions under physician’s orders and collaborates with care team.
• Document progress and communicate with patients and families to meet care goals.

Gateway Rehab, located in Florence, KY is a 40 bed inpatient rehab providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing and directing Occupational Therapy Services to patients including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation and communication. Functions under physician’s orders.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy where accepted.
• Masters Degree required otherwise.
• NBCOT registered and licensed per state of practice requirements.
• Current, valid, and active registration or license per state requirements in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• One (1) year of experience preferred. Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
