Job summary

Advocate Health's Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Inpatient Rehabilitation: Physical & Occupational Therapy seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist for a full-time position at the Winston Campus. The role splits between Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care, with a 40-hour week and occasional weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include performing specialized assessments, conducting multidisciplinary evaluations, developing intervention plans, educating families, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• One year of experience in occupational therapy.
• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the State with current licensure.
• CPR Certification every two years.
• Valid applicable state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performance of specialized tests such as manual muscle testing and goniometry.
• Performs both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members.
• Provides written summary of diagnostic findings to be incorporated into team plan.
• Plans intervention strategies and communicates effectively with families regarding the child's strengths and weaknesses; work may be performed in homes, agencies, preschools or clinics.
• Provides occupational therapy treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demonstration, or other treatment modality to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status.
• Provides documentation of goals and objectives for therapy as well as the course and progress of interventions with the patient.
• Participates in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed.
• Participates in chart review of clinical records for quality assurance.
• Attend relevant workshops and update instruments/tools to ensure most beneficial practices for population served.
• Attends scheduled staff, CDSA, or other committee meetings as needed.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Department: 37648 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Inpatient Rehabilitation: Physical & Occupational Therapy Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday-Friday, 40 hours. This position will split Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care on the Winston Campus. Both units operate 7 days per week so there are weekend expectations, approx 1-2 per month with accompanied comp days. Operating hours are 8-5 with flexibility for earlier or later start times per department needs and leadership approval. Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30
