Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services in Omaha, NE is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility to plan, organize, develop, and direct therapy services in accordance with standards.

You will screen residents, evaluate and develop treatment plans, establish goals, and communicate results to residents, families, and the care team. Must maintain licensure and pursue ongoing education. Competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s).
• Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention for each patient.
• Evaluate residents to inform treatment plans and set goals.
• Communicate evaluation findings and plans to residents, families and the inter-disciplinary team.
• Establish individual therapy schedules with other team members.
• Deliver therapy per plan and document and bill OT services.
• Oversee COTA and ensure documentation and treatments follow reimbursement practices.

Job Position:

Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type:

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
