Job summary

Southern TN Regional Health System - Pulaski, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy services, assess patients, and craft individualized care plans that promote recovery and independence. The role collaborates with families and the care team to optimize outcomes in a community hospital setting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy, TN licensure, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• TN State Licensure for Occupational Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy services to patients to develop, recover and maintain skills.
• Assesses patient ability to safely perform occupational tasks.
• Designs plans of care including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implements treatment plans using appropriate modalities.
• Documents progress and updates the plan of care.
• Monitors and modifies the plan as needed and seeks consultation.
• Educates patient and family about deficits and care options.
• Plans/discharges patients from therapy and treatment settings.
• Advises on adaptive equipment and supports as appropriate.
• Supervises and delegates to therapy assistants and technicians per regulations.
