Job summary

Endeavor Health, Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for inpatient, day shift. You will evaluate, treat, and follow up with physician-referred patients, document assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, and supervise students.

Requirements include IL licensure or eligibility, BS or MS in OT, BLS/CPR, and inpatient OT experience. EPIC EMR experience is preferred; compensation includes premium pay and opportunities for growth within a collaborative

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for IL licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• BS in Occupational Therapy or Master's degree from an accredited program.
• BLS/CPR certified (American Heart Association) required; NBCOT-OTR certification preferred.
• Inpatient occupational therapy experience required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, treatment and follow-up for physician-referred patients.
• Prepare and maintain patient records including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries and billing.
• Participates in the clinical supervision of students.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$35.16 - $54.50 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Occupational Therapist - Inpatient - Days
• Location: Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL
• Hours: Full Time- Hours - 8:00am-4:30pm
• Weekends: Rotating- 2 weekend days/month with comp. days
• Holidays: yes, 1 summer/1 winter

What you will do:

• Provide evaluation, treatment and follow-up services to physician referred patients
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries and billing
• Participates in the clinical supervision of students

What you will need:

• License: Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of IL
• Education: Bachelor of Science from a school of Occupational Therapy or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university approved by the AOTA and the Council on Medical Education of the AMA.
• Certification: BLS/CPR from American Heart Association required, OTR certified (NBCOT preferred)
• Experience: Inpatient occupational therapy
• Experience in EPIC EMR preferred
