Job summary

Resolute Baptist Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to administer, interpret, and evaluate tests and measurements, and to plan and modify treatment programs for neonatal through geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include maintaining clinical competency, completing introductory requirements, and performing related duties as assigned. Must hold Texas license; Basic Life Support certification is required on hire. E-Verify participation applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred.
• No previous work experience required; after 3 full years may be eligible for Occupational Therapist Level II.
• Clinical experience in various settings, Hand Therapy, Ergonomics, and familiarity with marketing/business; Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Texas State license required for new graduates and others.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements. Plans and modifies treatment programs. Works with neonatal through geriatric patients with clinical competency, as applicable. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: No previous work experience necessary. After completion of 3 full years/beginning of 4th year may be eligible for Occupational Therapist Level II.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Clinical experience in variety of settings, Hand Therapy, Ergonomics, as well as marketing and business familiarity. Spanish Proficiency

Required Certifications/Licensure

NEW GRADUATES : Possession of current Texas State license prior to orientation.

ALL OTHERS: Possession of current Texas State license.

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
