Job description

Department/Unit: Occupational Therapy

Work Shift: Day (United States of America)

Salary Range: $65,102.17 - $100,908.37

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats injury, disease, and other health conditions. Occupational Therapy includes performance and interpretation of tests and measurements to assess pathological and developmental deficits of human systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Evaluate and treat patients in occupational performance areas.
2. Schedule patients, maintain communication regarding patient and departmental concerns, and submit accurate billing information within insurance restrictions.
3. Participate in rotations across all clinical areas.
4. Conduct teaching sessions, including annual in-service to peers.
5. Supervise OT students as a clinical supervisor.
6. Supervise OT assistants.
7. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of all clinic and staff areas in accordance with sanitary policies.
8. Engage in department quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
2. Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
3. Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
4. Experience in Acute Care or inpatient rehabilitation (preferred).
5. High proficiency in written and verbal communication.
6. Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) certification from the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (required upon hire).
7. BLS certification (required upon hire).
