Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore is seeking an Occupational Therapist I to assess and support patients toward maximum function. Under supervision, you will conduct evaluations, create personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, mentoring peers and driving service improvements.

You must hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, be licensed in Maryland, and have at least 18 months of licensed OT experience.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Knowledge: Social, behavioral, biological, and physical sciences foundational to OT; OT theory, evaluation and treatment techniques, research application, leadership.
  • Skills: Advanced communication and interpersonal skills; data analysis and technology for clinical decision-making; applying OT theory in patient care.
  • Licensure and Certification: Licensed by the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners; Current AHA Health Care Provider CPR.
  • Experience: Minimum 18 months as a licensed Occupational Therapist.

As an Occupational Therapist I, you'll play a key role in assessing and supporting patients in their journey to reach their highest level of function. Under the supervision of the Team Coordinator, Clinical Specialist, and Rehab Therapy Services leadership, you'll conduct evaluations, create personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. You'll also mentor peers and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our services, upholding the values and objectives of the organization.

    • Expertise in OT theory, evaluation and treatment techniques, research application, and leadership.
    • Knowledge of current healthcare practices.
  • Skills:

    • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
    • Ability to use data analysis and technology for effective clinical decision-making.
    • Proficient in applying clinical knowledge and OT theory in patient care.
  • Licensure and Certification:

    • Licensed by the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
    • Current AHA Health Care Provider CPR certification.
  • Experience: A minimum of 18 months as a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Salary Range: Minimum $34.62/hour - Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
