Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks an Occupational Therapist on the Bayview Medical Center campus to join the Rehab Acute team. You will assess patients, design and implement treatment programs, and work with a multidisciplinary team to restore function and independence.

The role requires a bachelor/master/OTD in OT, state licensure, and CPR certification, with 1 year of OT experience. Comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Degree: BS/MS/OTD in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience.
• Clinical internships completed as required by program.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' occupational limitations and medical conditions using objective evaluation techniques.
• Prescribe and implement treatment plans to return patients to maximum function.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to optimize patient and team outcomes.
• Promote improvements in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care.
• Incorporate organizational goals and objectives into daily practice.

Job description

At Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, you will have access to the entire Johns Hopkins network of specialists. Housing Maryland’s only regional burn center, a designated level II trauma center and a pediatric center for emergency care, Johns Hopkins Bayview is well-prepared to provide the care necessary for the most complex cases, as well quality routine and specialty care.

Shift: Full-time - 40 hours per week - 1 - 2 Holidays a year

Position Summary: Occupational Therapist at Johns Hopkins Medicine located on Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center campus

The Occupational Therapist specializing in Rehab Acute

Works under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager

• Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the occupational limitations and medical condition of patients
• Prescribes and implements a treatment program which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function
• Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
• Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care
• Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization

Work Experience:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program

Education:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program.

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:

• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required

Salary Range: Minimum $34.62/hour - Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
