Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, serving as a clinical resource for staff and students. The OT will design and adjust care plans based on patient response, goals, and evidence, while educating patients and families about treatments and outcomes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong documentation, collaboration with the medical team, and supervision of COTA and rehab technicians, ensuring safe, effective discharge planning

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in good standing (IDFPR).
• Bachelor’s Degree required; other credentials as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients across all ages with evidence-based plans of care.
• Educate patients and families, and coordinate with staff and students as a clinical resource.
• Document evaluations, goals, and discharge plans per policy and standards.
• Supervise rehabilitation staff and communicate patient status and discharge needs to the care team.
