Overview

Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: Delran, NJ

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 2 evenings a week until 7pm

Compensation:Salary range starting at $80k/yr and increases based on your experience.

Unique Location/Job Details: Weare looking dynamic Occupational Therapist to work in our outpatient Physical Therapy office. You will be in an office with two physical therapists and a patient service specialist. We are looking for someone who is capable of treating a wide variety of upper extremity injuries and able to perform splinting. There is a comprehensive mentoring program and you will have the resources of the largest outpatient provider in the country at your fingertips. NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for ouroutpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
• CPR certified
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
• Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
