Job summary

Adventist Health Delano is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work on-site in Delano, California. The role involves planning and conducting treatment programs to restore physical, social and mental functions, and functioning as a co-leader in interdisciplinary patient groups.

Education requirements include a Master's or DOT; licensure in state of practice is required, with CPR/BLS certifications as per policy. This is a full-time staff position within a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) required; licensure in effect if started after Jan 2007; or foreign equivalent.
• Two years' occupational therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention.
• Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques; develops individualized care and discharge plans and communicates them to appropriate parties.
• Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
• Supervises assigned assistants.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
