Job summary

Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver resident-centered OT services in a collaborative setting. You will supervise assistants, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to promote independence and safety for residents.

The role emphasizes compliance with regulations, ongoing professional development, and maintaining licensure while contributing to program development and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited OT program.
• Must hold a valid state OT license where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Oversee OT services including screening, evaluation, and treatment.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Maintain patient-centered interactions with patients and staff.
• Refer patients to OT assistants and provide supervision.
• Supervise OT assistants and rehab technicians.
• Participate in care conferences and care management.
• Develop and enhance OT programs and services.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and patient rights policies.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain valid state licensure.
• Understand payment models and confidentiality in practice.
