Job summary

Garden City Hospital in Michigan is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a teaching-focused facility with over 300 beds and a strong commitment to community care. You will assess patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders and develop therapy plans in collaboration with the care team.

You must hold an OT degree, active state licensure, and BCLS certification; NBOT/OTA approved credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
• National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice to restore function and prevent disability for patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders.

Responsibilities

Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders. Performs responsibilities in accordance with department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519. Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
• National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.
