Inpatient Occupational Therapist
Excellent Benefits/40 Hours Per Week/Fulltime
Schedule: M-F, 8:00am -4:30pm Participation in weekend, and holiday rotations, as assigned, is required to meet the needs of the Occupational Therapy department
POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist (OTR) is responsible for providing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for patients across a Level I Trauma Center. This role manages a medically complex caseload, including trauma, neurological, orthopedic, surgical, critical care, and medically fragile patients, while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe transitions of care. The OTR utilizes evidence‑based practice, clinical reasoning, and patient‑centered interventions to maximize functional independence, promote recovery, and support efficient throughput in a fast-paced acute care environment.
