Job summary

The Orthopedic Institute of PA is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to develop and administer OT treatment programs to improve function, reduce pain, and promote overall well-being for patients in our Harrisburg area clinic.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, creating goals, maintaining confidential records under HIPAA, and adhering to state OT regulations. Outpatient experience is preferred, and CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • Current Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license or license eligible.
  • Outpatient experience preferred.
  • CPR certification is required.

  • Provides treatment plans per physician orders and conducts OT evaluation.
  • Establishes OT diagnosis, treatment plan and goals based on evaluation.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complies with Pennsylvania State OT Act, codes, and regulations.
  • Willing to assist in other facilities as requested by the center manager.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for developing and administering occupational therapy treatment programs designed to improve function, reduce pain, prevent disabilities, and promote the overall health and well-being of our patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides treatment plans per the physician’s orders and by planning and carrying out an appropriate occupational therapy evaluation of the patient.
  • Establishes an occupational therapy diagnosis, treatment plan and creates goals for the patient according to their evaluation.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complies with the Pennsylvania State Occupational Therapy Act, codes, and regulations.
  • Be willing to assist in other facilities as requested by the center manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • Current Pennsylvania Occupational therapy license or license eligible.
  • Outpatient experience preferred, not required.
  • CPR certification is required.
