In this role, the successful candidate Provides appropriate therapy to promote the ability to perform activities of daily living in an effort to achieve an optimal level of self-care. Uses clinical expertise to plan the delivery of safe, therapeutic, and age appropriate care through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention. Assumes additional leadership responsibilities to meet the needs of the department. Practices in accordance with the American Occupational Therapy Associations (AOTA) scope and standards of occupational therapy practice.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) approved OT program). Current and valid NYS Occupational Therapy license and registration. Current and valid BLS from the American Heart Association. Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills. Basic computer skills. Minimum 7 years of acute care hospital experience.
Required Licenses: Occup Thrpst License-NYS
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree Occupational Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) approved OT program). Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience at NYU Langone Long Island Hospital.

The salary range for the role is $70,282.50 - $101,307.93 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
