Are you an Occupational Therapist with acute care experience? BJC is seeking an experienced OT to work with an adult population at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, MO. This is a great opportunity to work in a smaller community with beautiful surroundings. A $2,500 Sign-On Bonus is provided!

Overview

As part of BJC HealthCare, Parkland Health Center offers a combination of world-class medicine, deep local roots, and a rich history from its predecessors—Bonne Terre Hospital (1911), Mineral Area Regional Medical Center (1952), and Farmington Community Hospital (1969). The center has two locations in St. Francois County, Missouri: a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington and a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre. It provides primary and secondary inpatient and outpatient services to the local community and surrounding areas.

Farmington offers inpatient, medical-surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, emergency services, and outpatient services, including oncology, infusion, wound care, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre functions as a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency and outpatient services, including lab, radiology, and sleep studies.

Outpatient Therapy services support patients requiring speech, occupational, and physical therapy based on physician orders.

Role Purpose

The licensed or registered Occupational Therapist (OT) provides skilled evaluation and treatment services to patients.

Responsibilities

1. Establishes treatment plans considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and necessary equipment.
2. Educates and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers; makes referrals to specialists as needed.
3. Delegates tasks to assistants, techs, and students, ensuring appropriate skill levels for interventions.
4. Completes documentation per departmental policies.
5. Provides assessments, reassessments, and consultations for Occupational Therapy Services.

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
