Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
• NBCOT designation as OTR (if state mandated).
• Open to therapists at all experience levels.

Responsibilities

• Uses evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions.
• Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary OT services to residents in SNF/Long Term Care.
• Provides consultation to patients, families, and other care providers regarding physical disorders.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel per state licensure requirements.
• Collaborates with in-house therapy team to develop effective rehab programs and improve patient outcomes.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate of an accredited university with a B.S., MA, or M.S. in Occupational Therapy that is recognized by the AOTA.
• Recognized by the NBCOT as a designated OTR (if state mandated).
• This position is open to therapists at all experience levels.

Some duties for this position include:

• Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Provides skilled therapy services to patients who need rehabilitation services.
• Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to physical disorders.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.
