Job summary

Milwaukee Rehabilitation Hospital at Greenfield in Milwaukee, WI seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and plan treatment strategies for patients with ADL/IADL challenges, cognition, and sensorimotor impairments.

The role involves delivering or delegating therapy services, supporting safety and performance, and collaborating within a supportive team; the schedule is Sun–Thu or Tue–Sat, with pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross; online certification not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, determine treatment strategies, and deliver or delegate services to address ADL/IADL, cognition, and sensorimotor impairments.
• Promote safety and performance in activities of daily living and work-related tasks.
• Educate patients and families about therapy plans and progress; document outcomes clearly.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize function and independence.

Job description

Position Summary:

Schedule needed: Sun-Thurs. or Tues.-Sat. Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Pay:

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
